Douglas James Archer, 59, will appear in the district court this morning on two charges of wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm and one of aggravated robbery.

Archer, who had injuried himself with a knife, was arrested in Linwood Park Tuesday following a serious assault on a 72-year-old man and 80-year-old woman at their St Martins home on Friday.

The victims remain in hospital in a stable condition.
