Coca-Cola Christmas event auditions

There are only two weeks left to apply to audition for this year's Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park.

Now in its 19th year, producers of the Christmas musical spectacular are searching the nation for the most talented new stars to perform in the popular production.

The Star is proud to be an event partner and has published the Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park souvenir programme since 2006.

Aspiring performers are encouraged to apply to audition online, submitting photos, video footage or a recording with their application.

If the show's producers are impressed with the first stage of the audition process, successful applicants will be invited to attend one of the audition workshops being held in Christchurch in early August.

Artistic producer Kate Ward-Smythe said she was looking for exciting new talent to perform alongside some of the nation's most celebrated entertainers, both at the two live concerts and in the primetime TV3 broadcast.

This year's production will be held on November 24 in North Hagley Park.

Applications for the Christchurch workshops must be in by 9am, July 25.
