Information sought on missing teen
Christchurch Police hope members of the public may be able to help locate a missing teenage girl.
Azaria Delia Field, 15, was reported missing on October 30 from an address in West Coast Rd, West Melton.
She is in CYFS care and has been living at the West Melton address for the past six years.
Senior Constable Gary Malzard, of Hornby police, says Azaria has run away previously. "However, this is the longest period she has been away," he says.
"Azaria was reported missing on October 30, but did turn up at her school, Hagley Community College, briefly that day but left again. That is the last time she has been seen by adults.
"Azaria has placed entries on Facebook, the most recent being on November 5."
Senior Constable Malzard says Azaria is 167cm (5ft 6in) tall, of very thin build, with long brown hair, large brown eyes and often wears bright red lip stick. Her clothing is unknown.
Police are concerned for Azaria's wellbeing given the length of time has been away and the fact she has not made contact with her social worker, Senior Constable Malzard says.
"We are anxious to hear from Azaria, or from anyone who has information on her whereabouts or her movements over recent days."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Senior Constable Malzard on 03 344 0669, or Christchurch Police on 03 363 7400.
