Man charged after allegedly chasing children
A man was charged yesterday with assault with a weapon after he allegedly chased eight-year-old school children on Aldwins Rd, Linwood, with a knife.
Community Constable Stef Harris said the incident happened between 8am and 8.30am yesterday during peak hour traffic, he wanted witnesses to the incident and the group of children to come forward.
Constable Harris also asked nearby residents to check their yards for a 15cm knife which has not yet been found.
