No foul play
Police have ruled out foul play as the cause of car salesman Shane Malcolm Bell's death.
Mr Bell's remains were found in a burnt out car near Loburn, North Canterbury, on Sunday.
Police launched a major investigation.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brian Archer said yesterday police are satisfied there is no evidence of foul play in Mr Bell's death.
"It will now be for the coroner to make a determination as to the cause of death. Police will not comment further on the circumstances of Mr Bell's death."
Mr Bell, a self-employed car salesman, who bought cars off Trade Me, repaired them and sold them, was last seen at his Dallington home last Thursday morning.
