Who says our senior citizens can't have fun?

Yesterday, award-winning songwriter and singer Ruby Frost dropped into Radius St Winifreds Hospital, Bryndwr, after staff member Lipena Afereti donated her prize, a free concert from a competition, to her favourite senior citizens.

Ray Eastgate, 98, couldn't resist the quirky pink hair and electric smile of Frost, as she stopped for a chat before taking the stage.

Frost's first album, Volition, made the top five on the New Zealand albums chart last year.
