Police allege indecent assault by mall masseur
A 58-year-old Christchurch man appeared in the district court yesterday on a charge of indecent assault. He was remanded on bail without plea, to reappear on January 7.
Detective Damon Wells says police allege the man indecently assaulted a female customer during the course of a massage at a shopping mall last Friday.
"The customer has done the right thing by coming forward and reporting the incident to police," he says.
Detective Wells says if anyone has any concerns about inappropriate treatment they have received during a massage they should report the matter to police.
