Water main work set to affect traffic
Earthquake rebuild projects in The Pegasus Post area mean motorists have to pick their routes carefully this year.
Contractors are working on Aldwins Rd, moving back to the Linwood Ave corner in stages.
This is part of the Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team's major pressure main 11 wastewater pipelaying project - the main carries almost one-third of the city's wastewater to Bromley, but is operating at only one-third of its capacity until it is fully replaced along its 3.6km length.
The work around the intersection will take about three weeks to complete and Linwood Ave at the Buckleys-Aldwins Rds intersection will have detours in place for north-south drivers while the work goes ahead. East-west traffic on Buckleys-Aldwins will have access but face delays.
